Whangateau Retreat
The new owners of this extensive property requested the of a design of a luxury retreat to serve as their main home and for visiting extended family.
The existing mature trees and outbuildings provided the framework for the development of extensive Mediterranean style gardens that blend naturally outwards into the native bush surrounds.
The swimming pool is large and forms a central focussing element within the property, visually connecting the many outbuildings and smaller intimate garden spaces.

Clifftop Swimming Pool
This architecturally designed home on the cliff edge in Leigh overlooks one of the best surfing locations in northland.
The design for this property focussed on integrating a swimming pool into the tight space between the house and the coastal edge and came with all the associated challenges of a stunning clifftop location.
The pool layout, materials and planting design were all carefully selected to maximise the outward sea views, withstand the harsh coastal conditions of the site and provide a phenomenal swimming experience.
